Commencing the 27th February 2017, you can choose your home care provider if you either are on an existing home care package or have been approved for one. You will be provided with an individual budget, detailing your government subsidy and any service fees that you are intending to receive. This will provide you complete transparency of how your Home Care Package money is spent.
These changes will provide you a greater level of choice, flexibility and control in the way you receive home care services and how these services are delivered. This means you can choose:
- What type of service you receive.
- When your services are delivered e.g. day and time.
- Where your services are delivered.
- How your government money is spent.
- Who delivers your service.
